my milk snake just threw up a mouse he ate yesterday?
what can cause this in milksnakes.. he was able to keep down the last 2 mice i fed him with no problem..

what can cause this in milksnakes.. he was able to keep down the last 2 mice i fed him with no problem..

people will need to know more, to give you any insight. what temp is the animal at, including overnight? how big's the milk snake; what size was the mouse? when was the snake fed previously? when did the milksnake last shed?

Here's a list from most likely to least-likely causes...
Warm end of cage not warm enough (should be ~85 degrees)
Food item was too large, or too many food items given
Snake is about to enter a shed cycle (or already in one)
Snake was fed too soon after last meal
Snake was handled within a couple of days of feeding
Snake is sick (ie. parasite)
Given the fact that it regurged, make sure you wait about 10 days before feeding it again, as they lose a lot of digestive enzymes when they regurge.
