Looks good. What are the dimensions? Just a couple things, be very careful lifting open those doors. Those critters,(pretty by the way)can move awful fast when they want to. And the albig will out grow that in a short time.

Hello
Its an absolutely beautiful cage, very well done. You should be proud of it!
BUT, I think its more suited for snakes or some other species than monitors...I know you don't want to hear a negative word about it, but hey, you are posting on a public MONITOR forum, and for the sake of your MONITOR, I have to comment...
There is no depth of substrate with such a cage..no biggie, if you are not nesting a female, but make more hiding places PLEASE! That HabbaHut offers no security to the lizard. *Hiding* means, unfortunately, that WE cannot see the animal. You have to allow places to let the animal escape all light, and human prying eyes.
You cannot hold any humidity in the cage with such LARGE vents. I'd cover those up totally with plastic while monitors are in there, and yes, I did read this is a temporary cage for them. Trouble is, they will never live to outgrow it, if you don't start taking better care of them now. Please trust the statistics...most pet monitors fail...don't let yours be one of them.
Which brings me to waterproofing...I'm not sure what the cage is made out of, but I hope you can soak it down without it rotting. And you do need to make the air damp in there.
And a last comment...where is the basking spot? Is it at least 120 degrees? With a cage that long, you should be able to get a great range of temps.
Again, it looks really nice. Just keep up your hard work to make this better. Please remember, the cage is for the monitor, not you. (or, it SHOULD be). And monitors always make us go the ugly route to make them happy (dirt, leaves, crud smeared all over, fogged up glass, etc.)
Cheers
D.
well thanks for your input,
the basking spot is fine its on the left side of the cage
i can wash this material i dont know about spraying it out in my room,i guess ill give it a try. haha
as for the vents i may cover them up.
now as for the black throat he never liked to hide and yes i offered him some in his last cage.
as for the savannah he loves to hide so he has a pitch black hiding spott were he spends most of his day.
now for the important stuff they are both very active and have grate appitites now isn't that what realy matteres.
i have a feeling that no matter what i do i will never please everyone on this site. so i will focus on making my monitors happy and i'll be the judge on that.

I really am impressed by your cage, I like it. I tried to convey that.
You don't have to please anyone on any forum. You have to please your animals, just like you said.
I was only trying to help you do that.
There are many forums where all you will get is a bunch of fluff posts saying "nice cage" and "awesome job". Of course, they would say the same thing if you displayed a cardboard box, with a fake plant and a stick in it.
That does you no good.
good luck.
D.
You should have seen the words he typed to me in another forum because I told him it was nice but the albig will need a bigger home. He seemed to be highly offended when I offered to take it when it out grows that home.
His mommy needs to wash his fingers in lye soap. lol
