I think. OK, i am pretty new to this and i guess will learn from this. OK, this is what happened.
This past winter i put my 1.0 Pastel with 0.2 normals and kept him with each about a week. By 15 Jan. 2004 i had him back in his tub and was hoping for the best with my females.
Both females started to get bigger over the next month or so and after about 2 months both females started to get small again(without laying eggs). So i figured all was lost. I thought that the kinda stopped the process and were no longer carrying. I thought it was because they were in 10 gallon glass tanks and it was too small to lay so they stopped themselves from laying.
Well, about 2 1/2 weeks ago i moved from Minnesota to Florida and prior to moving i put the last of my Balls in racks(bigger homes). I thought that i would get them settled and then try again in a few months.
Well, 2 days ago while feeding all my Balls, i opened one of the females tub and saw a slug(kinda a small mis-shaped egg)(brown). Thought it was starnge. Then i noticed that she seemed to be coiled around something. I lifted her and she was wrapped around 4 good eggs. i was floored. She has not been with a male(1.0 Pastel) since 15 Jan. when i took him out.
So i am wondering if this is normal? I also looked at the other female that was with him in Jan. and she seems huge. Can anyone explain? Thanks... John
