Any specifics on the temperature range for cape gopher snakes? I am keeping my male at 90-92 on the hot end, and 75 on the cool side. He won't eat adult mice, but he loves rat pups, and pinkys.

Hey there!

In my opinion..I would bring the temp down. My first cape languished due to the excessive temps. I had it at. Right now, all my snakes are at 78-82.

Take care! Billy

I agree with Billy, the temps should be lowered. I keep mine at low of 72 with a warm end of 78 for the male and 84 for the female. They seem to do very well with those temps, and i use hide boxes and keep them (actually all my snakes) out of any high traffic areas. Good luck with them, they are great snakes.

Have a good day,
Gregg F.
