When should I let panic set in?

crom Jul 19, 2004 12:52 PM

This has probably been discussed here 100 times but I'm new to this forum. My Ball has not eaten in almost 4 weeks and shows no interest in food what so ever. Up until now she has never missed a meal, even when going into shed. She is about a year old. Nothing has changed as far as her surroundings go and she appears healthy otherwise. I've tried rats and mice. I'm getting very worried but I'm used to rat snakes that would eat every day if you let them. Any help would sure be appreciated.

4 weeks is nothing - some have gone a year!

Start worrying when your BP is losing quite a bit of weight - this means you should be keeping track of and weighing your BP.

Perhaps he/she is about to shed and decided not to eat because of that?

Relax, she can go six months no problem, but she probably wont.
