Can someone post pics of an adult.
How can you tell a snake is a pastel for sure.
Do the bright pink and yellow babies keep that coloration or do adults change their color.
Also I have a normal with yellow/salmon colored sides.
Will she lose that coloration as an adult?
Most normal adults I have seen have very brown/black coloration.
Do the high gold balls keep their coloration or is the extra money paid for them not worth it because the adults lose the color?

3 months ago, I bought couple bright orange and pink baby ball pythons about 75 grams. But now they are almost 200 gram, all three of them lost there orange color. Eric

and she still has most of the coloration. She is also getting lots of blushing but only along the right side of her body on the left side the stripes are dark black. I am not sure how much she weighs but she eats medium mice.
Do you know the answer to my pastel question.
I would love to save up $$$ for a pastel male to breed her and get hets but I like the pastel babies and wondered about the color of the adults. Is it similar

She took a frozen thawed as her first meal and pounds them like crazy. She is a pleasure to feed and that makes my life easy. She is super tame too.

If you get a pastel male and breed it to your normal female you will get half pastels and half normals.. A Pastel is the Het for super pastel..

I'll give you a hint. On every one of these pictures, one snake is an adult male Pastel, and other is an adult female NORMAL. Can YOU see the difference? I would say that its hard to miss, unless there is a degree of colou-blindness. I'm not being sarcastic, I have a colour blind friend that couldn't see the difference (or so he says).

There is a very big difference! I had not really seen an adult just pics of the babies and fell in love with them. I was worried if I got one that it would be like a high gold ball that tends to lose the color as an adult.

What is the difference between super and regular pastel.
Is pastel a dominant or recessive trait?

They are co-dom...Think of them as a visual het....A reg. pastel is the het. for a super pastel...Two pastels bred together have a 25% chance of making a super pastel...But you have to remember that all pastels aren't as nice as one another and not all hold their color...Some do darken up a whole lot as adults and some don't....Nice ones can throw crappers and crappers can throw nice ones...Graziani line are the best in my opinion...Good luck!
