great looking.

just out of curiosity, what kind of branches do you use, they look very natural. do you cut them yourself? do you do anything to treat them before adding them to the enclosure?

thanks

um... i don't quite know exactly what trees the branches i use are from... i'm working with the grounds crew at my college so i just go rummage around our compost piles for wood from tree pruning and stuff... then i usually bake the wood for awhile to ensure that any pests or bad things are sufficiently destroyed... i also keep a bin of wood with moss and vegetation growing... throughout the year i find good pieces of wood and i throw the treated wood into this bin and sometimes the moss starts growing on it to give it that more "naturalistic" look... works decently well... just beware that some wood will rot... also... i tend to stay away from stuff that has sap and smells too strongly... those woods i assume have oils that may not necessarily be too easily gotten rid of... thanks for the interest though-paul

if you dont mind, and if you have the time of course, could you find out what branches you use that dont rot, and then find out from the grounds crew where they came from, the reason i ask is because i would like to try and get a hold of someone without experimenting much on my own. if you had the time to do this that would be great and a big help to me, i appreciate any help you can provide.

thanks very much.
