How does this incubator sound?

ranger Jun 21, 2003 10:16 PM

Hi-
I was suprised two nights ago with a leo egg. My females were in with the male, but seemed stressed and I left them alone. This was 3-4 weeks ago.

The egg looks good, and would be my first herp breeding ever. I left the egg half burried in a vermiculite humid hide, but with a new top with two small nail holes in it.

The hide is on a wine glass in a 5.5 aquarium half full and the water is heated to 83 degrees. I have the aquarium covered with cling wrap with no holes?

How does this sound?
Should I allow mor air flow?

Thanks a bunch!!

As long as you open the egg dish lid every few days, there should be no problems with air, and if your temp stays constand you're set.
Some people simply leave the egg container in a warm area of the house to incubate, Personally I use the "incubator on a budget" method on the kingsnake.ca main page.
good luck with your eggs!
