Couple pics of a few dragons from my second clutch.>

Mystical-Dragons Jul 19, 2004 06:03 PM

Just took a few pics of the dragons from clutch 2 from Foster & Candy. Just having a ball watching these dragons change, and grow. I got some hefty dragons in this clutch, some already 10 inches in length already.

This is a female I'm thinking about holding back. She's really starting to color up nicely and has little dots of orange coming in all over. Hopefully a sign of what's to come with the next shed

This is the "BIG BOY" of the clutch. He's on his way to being like his big pop Foster.

This is the smallest male of the clutch, but surprisingly the reddest in color.

Thanks for the complements Bennett. This is the father of the clutch Foster. Foster is a RedFlame X Sandfire I Got 2 years ago from Chris Allen. He's one of Flames babies.

Candy I bought from Chris as well, but she was not produced by Chris. Chris bought her mother already gravid by a Dragons Den snow male. Candy is a Red-Orange X Snow.

This is Candy gravid with her second clutch. She laid the babies above the following day

For right now yeah he's in with the holdbacks until his next shed then he'll be for sale as well. I have way too many males, so most likely he'll be listed any day now and sold.

Hey there mystical i had a question as to how you sex your BD's when there that small?

Mystical-Dragons Jul 19, 2004 11:12 PM

I sex them just like you would sex an adult dragon. Young males happen to be a lot easier to sex then young females, for me anyway. By the age I start selling them 6-7 weeks old it's rather clear what they are. If I'm not sure I hold them till I am or I list them as unsexed or possible male or females. I look at them, sex them, and get a second opinion by a retired friend LOL

I sex them just like it is shown on this site. Copy & Paste

Thanks For the complements on the little ones Joel. I'm really happy with how the babies turned out this season. They have such great personalities and seem to love the interaction with people. As for those other two statements hehe Don't I wish!! LMAO. No really by 8 weeks old the first clutch was mostly gone. I held them till 6 weeks old, and sold all of clutch 1 even my the best ones. I thought Anna would lay, because she was bred to Foster too, but nothing has come of that or at least not yet.. She liable to give me winter babies after all Clutch 2 I'm holding a bit longer as my holdbacks will be picked from this group. I did not have the initial sales like clutch 1 which I figured would happen as I had alot of people waiting for them. I'm definitely glad I took Chris A's advice and started off small as far as production the first season that's for sure. I don't mind holding this clutch a few extra weeks at all. They have just gotten increasingly better, and their growth rate has just been outstanding, plus I have a case of the empty incubator syndrome Good luck with your new little ones!! Can't wait to see those beauties Joel
