Baby Snow leopard gecko's. What do they sell for?

litlebuterfly Jul 19, 2004 11:43 PM

I have seen "B grade snow" sub adults and adults for sale for $215.00. So what do babies sell for? Any input would be appriciated, thanks.

Most breeders do not sell snows as babies. When a snow is hatched, most of them appear to be A grade... however with time they gain yellow and may become a b or c grade. By sub-adult and adult, the color is pretty much done changing. The other way to tell would be to look at the parents, but there is still no guarantee with that either. I'm actually in the market for one or two A or B grade Snows as well, and I know I'll have to get adults... oh well.

So what if you have one that you want to sell that is oviously going to be a snow? So no one would buy a baby if I had one available? Or if anyone else had one available?

You can probably sell it... but you would have to list it as a "Possible" A grade snow. With pictures of the parents and a good white background you could probably get decent money for it. But if you are selling for money, you will get more by raising it and proving that it is A grade or B grade...ect. Either way you could still sell it, but the quality grade can't be guaranteed.

Lets see some pics of this leo and parents... I might take it off your hands if the price is right... =)

Well thats just it I do have people interested in it ever since I posted it and it's sibling on here a few weeks past but everyone wants to know what I am asking for it and I do not know what babies would sell for. This is it it has gotten some slight yellow in the hind quarters. It's sibling is still pure bleach white and black and is not for sale just this one. The dad was a snow from a breeder that purchased it from Masterpiece Geckos. The mom was a tangerine that came from the same breeder. I fully understand that they can change in time but there has to be some price range for babies to be sold under? I was going to take it to a show we are vending at next month for sale.

This is it's sibling not for sale.

Assuming it to be female...
At that age it's got some yellow already. It will likely be a B or even C grade snow when older. I've seen adults for $125, so babies would be around $75... maybe more maybe less. The other one looks better and if she was for sale you might get $100 out of her (obviously more as they age). Take some off if there is more yellow or if they are male.
Also depends on what people are willing to pay. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's not as much as you ask.
