Do leos eat their sheds?

Ryan Shackleton Jul 20, 2004 12:08 AM

I know this is a basic question, but I'm getting curious here and it's not mentioned in my book(used to snakes, the lizards are new additions). My 3 male leopards in the last couple days have looked about like a snake getting ready to shed(dull markings, muted colors) then a couple days later they are back to normal with no sign of a shed skin in the cage. I was told by a friend that other lizards sometimes do this, so that's why I am asking.
Thanks
Ryan
