YES YES YES What a wonderful morning!

Jul 20, 2004 02:31 AM

I am in heaven. After so many days of waiting/wondering/hoping and also fearing ( just look at my previous entries), it happened. My San Fransisco Garter gave birth. 1 is deform and 2 dead babies but the rest are perfect and very big juveniles, nearly twice the size I have seen before.

So far I have found nearly 20, but there are more.
I am a very happy man.

Good job! What is funny is my easter garter snake just gave birth to 24 last night, 3 of the died sadly though. Out of the 21 is a runt and still hasn't managed to shed it's skin! It's all good, and congratz to you man!

OH MAN!!

I dunno much about these Garter Snakes, as I am just getting back into the field of Garter Snakes. I went into Gopher Snakes for a while after discovering an 8inch long gopher snake in my bathroom. But I heard San Fransisco Garter Snakes are one of the rarest, if not, THE rarest snakes in the US! Is that true still? I would love one of those so bad. Are you selling any of the babies. Please contact me, wildthing642@yahoo.com

Hi
Not possible. They are protected ower there. They are not only one if not the most endagered snakes in USA but also one of the rarest snakes at all. Habitat destruction has led it to the edge of survival and is considered gone in few years
Best wishes
