cornsnake234 Jul 20, 2004 08:57 AM

I have my mice colony since about 12 days. I don't know what happened, but one of my female was a very very nice and tame mice, she was coming at me to sniff and i was able to touch her. Since 2 days she has became very agressive and nervous, she tries to bit me every time i put my hand in the tank!! what's the problem!??! is it a normal behaviour!?!

Thx

She could be pregnant. They get cranky and possessive then.

Perfect!!
What other sings can indicate that she is going to have her babies soon!?

It's my first experience in mice breeding and i can't wait to see the little pups!!!
Also, i was wondering, can i still clean the cage when the babies are out!?

Thx

When she looks like she ate a pingpong ball...she is close. I clean cages on a schedule/when they need it and ignore babies. All the adults go into a bucket, all the pups into a box and clean the tub.....all new bedding etc and dump everyone back in. If you are worried then clean around the nest.
