Is it ok to do this.....

rttlrvenom Jul 20, 2004 11:15 AM

well i just bought a little green water dragon for my little sister but shes to young to do all the care so it is my job but i knew she was still to young to do it by her self so she helps me with him/her, she really like feeding time the most because this little guy gets funny when he goes after the crickets. but any way

It looks like the little water dragon is shedding and i was wondring if it would be ok to take him and let him swim in the bath tub supervised of course id make sure there is no way for him to get out and remove anything that he could hurt himself on.

iv only had this little guy since sunday w havent held him yet because of the whole stress factor is this too soon to handle him and the swimming thing.

Bathing him supervised is a very good idea, I think !!

Do you not provide water in his/her enclosure ? If not you should. this way he/she has water when ever needed!!

yes he does have water in his cage but its just enought for him to stand in and soak, the reason i was asking aout the bath tub was for him to gt some exercize and to get use to handeling

I don't know if it's safe at all though. Still we used to do it with our Redeared slider. If you are going to take it to the bathtub, just be sure to clean the tub well before. So that residues of soap and things like that will go away.
