They'll eat the sand, too. And if they were eating the woodchips, keep an eye out to make sure they continue pooping. A vet visit wouldn't hurt. Things like that can cause impaction and sharper pieces can even cause tears in the digestive track.

I use newspaper now, but Xander's new cage has vinyl flooring so when we move him into it, we're ditching the newspaper.

it was small shredded woodchips. kinda like hamster bedding. it said recomended for reptiles so i tried it out. but i switched it about two weeks ago when i saw some of it in their poo. they are going to the bathroom fine, and eating great so im pretty sure it diddnt harm them any. im thinking of getting that reptile green carpet stuff.

I actually just use green fabric; Grass is potty-trained so the most I have to do is shake it out every other day & toss it in the washine machine once a week or so.

We use the indoor/outdoor green carpet. It works good. We cut the correct size for the enclosure and have a spare one for when the other gets dirty. Sand is good for Uros.
