Banded

graffitiraptor Jul 20, 2004 11:42 AM

Hi im just wondering if "banded" balls are actually worth anymore than normal ones, iv seen them in the clasifyeds for more, but is it just another thing people do to sell normals? i only ask as i have a normal ball with 4 full bands and was wondering, and also is it genetic,? or is it something else like egg temp flux?

Thanks for any replys

If you are willing to pay more for it, than it is worth more, but most being sold are normals, and yes any Ball can through a nice banded. If it was proven out to be dom/codom or simple recessive then it would be worth more than a normal.

Corey Woods has just hatched some. I believe he got 6 out of 9 eggs. I remember hearing something about VPI thin-banded balls that were dominant. Corey's appear to be simple recessive.

Yeah, RDR, Corey Woods, ect, ect have proven lines. I was just saying that unless it is proven they are normals (at least the majority you see on KS classifieds).

I understand what you're saying! I know it's a topic that's been driven into the ground but I am amazed at what people will charge for unproven "morph" looking ball pythons.
