HUGE white poo!?!

ribbitt Jul 20, 2004 12:58 PM

My leo shed her skin yesterday and I looked in her cage today and there was an enormous( like, the size of her head) completely white poo that she made. It seemed to consist of her skin...is this normal?! Thanks!

I don't know if it's normal, I wouldn't say it is. It sounds like he/she may not be digesting well. How are it's other poops? If they have been normals since (ie. can't see undigested bugs...) it should be fine, if not I'd take it to a vet. I've never seen a large completely white poop in over four years.

i have seen it in my fat-tails, but don't recall noticing it in any of my leos. i think it is normal though, atleast nothing to worry about.

If it was all white and that big, was it round?
It may be an infertile egg too?
Who knows
I know it sounds gross but if you throw a pic up here maybe someone can ID it better
All white poo isn't normal, the white part is some sort of nitrous if i remember correctly. healthy stools should consist of brown and smaller white portions. I would start to worry if she poos like that a few more times

I believe that the big white poo is its urates... as you may have noticed leopard geckos dont pee... the release a hard white poo looking thing, and that is its pee... if your leo ate his shed while he was in his moist hide, then it probably got pretty hydrated while eating... i wouldnt worry...
