Do they all rattle thier tails when they get ready to pounce, or just males? Does it hurt if they bite you? This is our 2nd one the first one we had died. It's obvious to us now the 1st one was unhealthy from the start. We are a little afraid to feed anything other then criskets. I heard that the worms can eat them from the inside out.

First, i have reptiles for a couple of years now, and i NEVER heard of somebody who had his lizard suffer from a worms eating his inside, NEVER, this is an urban legend.

My gecko use to wig his tail and now he dont, so it depend on the gecko. I dont think that it has something to do with the sex.

mine has been eating mealworms for 4 years
Don't buy anything from anyone who says mealworms will eat their way through a stomach, they dont' know what they're doing. Cuz firstly they actually bite their prey then theres that thing called stomach acid

and my leos have never bitten me, i will sometimes unintentionally handle them roughly and they are so sweet and tolerant. If they do bite it will not hurt, i've seen one draw blood but that's really rare, they have no teeth

Good luck
