Anyone else ever sit observe their monitors while the bask?....

Well i noticed with both my Water and Savs that their feet seem to be pretty sensitive to high temps. Makes me wonder if they'd prefer a round surface(i.e. large log)as opposed to a flat surface? Hmmmm... Think i'll try it out.

Hatchlings, They want also to warm up their body core not to burn their feet, so it seems to me since they warm up from their backs and bellys that their feet being thin heat up faster, they sometime raise them up off of the surface. My hatchling beardies do that, but my adults dont, my monitors are all adults and none of them do it anymore or have for a long time.
