Odd Blue caterpillar by turtle pound

turtlemh Jul 20, 2004 02:36 PM

Well I found these odd blue small caterpillars by my turtle pound and I was wondering what they could be? Can my turtles eat them? I will try to take a pic as soon as I can.

Without a positive I.D. I would not risk feeding them. Especially if they are a hairy type caterpillar. Many of them are extremely toxic. Best not to chance it.

They arn't hairy they are kinda like a inch worms size and the dont move a whole lot. The fish seem to like them but the turtles havent ate them infront of me as I know of. They also kinda curl up when you poke them kinda like those nasty bugs that are small. I should take some pics just have no time
