Looking for good herping spots in Eastern Washington, along I-90.

Hello all,

I'm going to be making a trip to the Moses Lake area at the end of July, and was hoping some of you guys could point me to some good herping spots. I'm already planning on stopping at Vantage, at the Potholes Reservoir, and Sun Lakes and Dry Falls. Pretty much any spot within and hour or two of I-90 or Highway 17 is good for me. So, if anyone has any specific suggestions about the places I've mentioned, or any other spots, please let me know! Anything, from times of day, "south edge of..", etc, would be helpful! Thanks,

-Christian-

I have done some searching in the vicinty of Cle Elum and know that region contains Sharp-tailed Snakes, 2 - 3 species of garter snakes, and the Rubber Boa. Other species may also be present.

But if you are planning on daytime searches at this this time of year, your chances of success are diminished greatly in comparison to similar efforts during April and May due to seasonally warm temperature conditions from here on out. I suspect that night driving on back roads might provide some finds.
