Notice to users of Rep_Cal Pellets

Some of the newer bags of rep_cal pellets have more dye in them, than in the past it appears, the Laboratories that test and produce this product states that it is not a problem for the dragons health and we have been using some bags of it. We have only found it in the Adult Brand and the pellets look different also, they are slightly bowed like elbow macaroni.

When it passes through the dragon, it comes out really green..... like bright shamrock green and if you have them on paper towels or shelf liner you really notice it. At first I thought we had a parasite going around, but fecals are clear, dragons are all healthy and active

Just thought I would let others know not to freak out if you dragon is passing what looks like florescent green poo..... its just the dye and the researches of the product state it is not a risk to them...... now it might be to your clothes if the dragons ever poo on you and white shelf liner takes a beating, but it is not harmful to them.......... just think green beer on St Paddy's day

There was a study done in Europe over a decade ago that linked artificial food colouring to hyperactivity and attention deficit in children. Funnily enough, ADHD only seems to be a problem in the US, where childrens food products are still ridiculously colorful, whereas in Europe most foods are now free of artificial colouring.

On the plus side, maybe Fuego will actually move from time to time, other than to eat, bask and poop.

0.1 Bearded Dragon (Fuego, spent the last 10 months thinking she was a he!)
2.1 Roommates (require more cleaning up after than the dragon)
