Help with identity and info pleeease.............Pygmy chams?????.......PICS

rdperry5 Jul 20, 2004 09:11 PM

I tried to post this message this morning, but lost it when I clicked on the wrong button.......

I was given what I was told were 4 Kenya Pygmy Chameleon eggs a couple of months ago to incubate for a lady (she knew that I was incubating bearded dragon eggs). I brought them home and did some research, incubated them at room temp, but couldn't really find enough information for my liking. Two of them hatched yesterday. Can anybody help me to further identify/confirm their identity, and/or give me some more info? All responses are greatly appreciated. I would like to learn as much as I can about these little guys. Here are a couple of pics...

I agreed with mrcham, they were R.brev.

Nice little devil right?

Make sure you get those little fruit flies for them....

i couldnt help but notice you have some r.brevs
are you breeding them?
what kinda set-up do you have? etc...

I got my trio from last Nov., but not intentionally breeding them. Those babies were just bonus to me.

My set up was:

1) Timer control light from 8:00 - 20:00
2) Heat spot with 90F
3) Timer control mist with 4 times a day with duration of 3 mins
4) Humdifier - only switch when need.
5) Humdities were at ~80%
6) Temp between 75-85

You could find my earlier setup pics (some adjustment has been made already) from the link below.
