leo refusing food

sirfugu Jul 20, 2004 09:31 PM

recently my little leo is refusing anything i try to give her. she almost full grown and until recently has been doing very well. i'd been feeding her around 10 mealies a day and about a month ago she started getting strange about her eating habits. shes still been eating enough just not as much. this week however she hasnt eaten hardly a thing. i feed her mealies because she is cross eyed and has a hard time with crickets. i fed her about 5 wax worms yesterday but she wont even eat those today and she usually loves them. also whenever i go to feed her all she does is look up at me and ignores the food, its really weird. any ideas?

Im beginning to sound like a broken record:
Take it to a vet, and get a fecal done to check for parasites.

Make sure she's still drinking water, check the temps in case something malfunctioned. If she starts losing weight or any other changes take it to a vet

good luck

We have a female who just laid eggs and over the last 3-4 months she hasn't wanted to eat either. She licks calcium like crazy and drinks no problem. But she is more interested in crawling up my arm than eating. She will eat 5-6 crickets once a week, but will not pay any attention to mealworms or super worms. Not sure what her problem is. I took her to the vet when it started and he could find nothing wrong with her. The others all eat daily, but not this one. SHe used to eat mealworms like there was no tomorrow.
