I have red tailed boas I purchased last year with the hopes of breeding them. The male was very persistant through the month of September, but nothing ever came of it. I think her body fat wasn't up enough for her to allow him to do his "deed". I was going to fatten her up June through August so she'll be ready by September, but he's already at it again. She doesn't seem willing to accept his advances. Should I seperate them until September? One thing I'm worried about is the male is a little bigger than the female. A pet store owner told me she will not mate with a male thats larger than her. Is this true? Any advice will be appreciated.
