Hey guys! Missed me? Been a while.
Anyway, my two Malis eat (raw, unshelled) sunflower seeds all the time. They love it. They have been getting pretty fat off of them so I looked up the nutritional facts.

I can't seem to be sure any of these are specifically for raw seeds. Anyway the point is they have a lot of fat and an appreciable amount of protein. I am inclined to reduce their intake, but it seems like such a wholesome food. Wouldn't they eat a lot of seeds in the wild?
I'm still feeding them as much hibiscus and dandelion as I can. Can't beat em!
P.S. I think I'm giving up on the various soils and am going to go for birdseed substrate soon. Where can I find it real cheap?
