Enclosure Quesiton...How big should it be?

RoadSpawn Jul 21, 2004 10:49 AM

Hello
I'm designing an enclosure for a pair of 5-6 foot JCP's. I'm not sure how high I should make the cage. The lenght will be 3 to 4 feet and the depth will be 30 inches. Any suggestions? I don't want to make it larger than it will be used. Thanks..
Robert

I have a large JCP, about 7 feet. Her cage is 4 feet long, by 4 feet tall, and 30 inches deep. She seems to use the entire cage. Actaully she could probably go a lot bigger so I wouldn't worry about going to big, I'd worry more about it being too small. My JCP spends most of her time up in the branches, she seems to prefer to be off the ground. Hope that helps, Eric-
