What do you guys/gals recommend to clean a boa bite?
Hey there,
I've been bitten by more snakes than you can shake a stick at. Usually, they are really easy to clean up. You want to pay extra attention if the snake has just eaten a rodent. Stop the bleeding. Sometimes they can bleed out alot so just keep your arm elevated and apply direct pressure. Also, make sure there are no teeth stuck in you. Snakes will often lose teeth after a bite. I usually wash it out good with alcohol then I apply peroxide. Cover it with a sterile bandage and you good to go. If you've been bitten by a large snake and the bleeding doesn't stop .... seek medical attention. Some large snake bites require stiches. I hope all is well and good luck!
