Wow, I just went to go check on my Dumerils Boa. She was in the process of shedding when I last saw her last night. Well, she finished shedding and there is skin hanging from both her eyes. I gently pulled at it to see if it was just stuck there, but it won't come off. I've had Matilda since she was 12". She is now 6 ft plus. I've never had this problem with any of my snakes before. The humidity hasn't changed.... I don't know what to attribute it to. I now have her in a very humid box hoping the skin will just fall off. But, I don't think that is too likely. What can I put on her eyes to help with the moistening? Do I then pull it off carefully with a tweezer? Please point me in the right direction. I am an experienced snake keeper, so nothing will suprise me. Thanks sop much in advance for your help!

Dan

the best thing you can do is to keep it misted and wait till the next shed unless its eating habits are impared. If you dont wish to wait that long then you may try soaking her and removing it yourself but if it doesnt come easy then dont force it. Good luck!
