We are OUT OF ROOM...!!

Seriously! We just had our third litter of boas born today and now we definitely have more snakes than places to house them LOL! Let me just say these little ones are NOT so little but they sure are fine! I was pleasantly surprised to see what a nice looking litter our female gave us today. We bred a big normal female to one of our Hypo males who also happens to be het for Anery so these little babies are all possible het for Anery. The female is about 9 feet long and this was her first year breeding. She was previously kept as a pet and had never been bred before.

She threw 10 slugs, 21 healthy babies, 3 kinked babies, and 1 deformed baby. We put the deformed baby and the 3 kinked ones down (the kinks were really pretty bad...all the way down the spine). One other baby looked like it was crushed or still born or something so that was disappointing too since it was one of the hypos.

Of the 20 healthy babies though, 10 are normal and 10 are hypo. They are all GIGANTIC though at around 14 inches long. There are a couple of real nice looking normals with lots of pink and the hypos are just spectacular. A few of them have really nice striped tails and very clean patterns. There are DEFINITELY some keepers in this clutch!

So all in all, we are very happy with this litter and thankful for the 20 healthy babies! That's three down so far this season...one (possibly two or three) more to go!!

YEA BOAS!

As always...some photos...

Normals...

Hypos...

A baby with really thin saddles...

And a nice stripe!

Thanks for looking!
