I have one male "mutt" left from the 2002 hatch ( he is earmarked for NY,NY)--- his mother was a Nevada native & father ( I assume ) was my Redtail ( male of course ). Problem is this red TAIL mutt is showing "Lots of Red" on his torso.

I HAD some mutts in the year of 2001 that was the product of Az Redback male X Nevada female ( same Nevada mother).
Could there be "sperm retention" by the female from year to year that would carry over??
It seems my apparent redTAIL mutt has more characteristics of a redBACK mutt even though there was no redBACK male to blame it on
Is everyone as &^^%%$$#$#$ confused as I am by now!#$&???

Could you post a picture? Are you she she didn't visit with another fella any time when you weren't paying attention?

But coloration is a strange thing. My chuck was supposed to be a boy. She had all the markings of a male and has never lost her stripes, particularlly the black band on her shoulder. This was supposed to be a sure fire marking for a juvie male red back, but alas.... no "nads" as someone put it.

There is something in that Humble Tx water! I have one of your 2001 Mutts and 3 of the 2003 Uber Mutts. The 2001 female mutt is a Salmon color whereas the one male 2003 mutt is looking to be a light colored redback. No carrot tail in sight.

Smart enough as to not get caught by David, and slick enough to continue all these years to pull off his Sexual Caper !

The only one who would really know is the YARD AGAMA, but I hear hes not TALKING ! LMAO
