feeding question

tribbielvr Jul 21, 2004 09:17 PM

I got a colombian about 8 months ago that had been raised eating live rats only, I have worked and worked to get him to eat F/k. The best I have been able to do was to get him to follow up with a F/K right after killing and eating a live one. Well, tonight I offered him a F/k and he ate it.

My question is this, should I just expect him to eat F/K from now on and offer those only? Just let him get hungry if he refuses it until he DOES eat it, since I KNOw he will now?
Thanks
Nina

Try next time just giving your boa a frozen thawed and see if it takes. If not you could either toss in a stunned one in there and follow it up with your FT, or simply not feed untill the following week trying your FT again. It wont be that big of a deal if your boa missing 1 week of feeding.
