They are so cool! I heard they were different from corns and stuff. How long from when they are laid to when they hatch? Do you have a favorite temperature setting?

but I'd say 65 - 70 days. I've never bred corns but from what I've read the conditions for hatching are very similar. I kept them at room temperature in a second floor southern facing room so they were in the high seventies to mid eighties during the day. They're good feeders as hatchlings and they're feisty. The only big difference is that they're a northern species and need a good long cold brumation to breed and as adults go off feed when it gets too hot in the summer.
