ideas for cage set up?

cmsuphoto Jul 21, 2004 10:53 PM

Ok, I have a corner unit I made, and I'm not happy with it, so I'm scrappin' that (pic below) and am gonna set up the two males in a 40 gal. citter cage, I believe. Here's the question, and I'll take everyone, and I do mean everyone's input. I'm shopping for an aquarium, and I was wondering what people thought with something like the 29 tall vs. 40 critter cage. More importantly, do you think height is important to a corn snake?? If the 40 breeder has much more "floorspace" so to speak, is that better than something with less floorspace and more height? Any thoughts would be awesome!

Yes, I house to males together, named Jay and Silent Bob. THey grew up together, and frankly, I think they love each other. They get along great, and I've never had problems.

THanks in advance for any postings!

I'd go with more floor space. I don't think corns climb that much to have more height or floor space. I have 2 corns, housed seperately, and they stay more to the ground.

Guess it really depends on the snake, my corn loooves to 'climb' and be up in her things, she loves plants and I bought this 'tree' for her and she cant get enough of being up in it.
