Never posted a pic before, just started playing with sizing them down.......if it works this is my set-up in the (unfinished) enclosure I built.
Wow, gorgeous set-up!
Does your Uro climb up the walls, or stay mainly on the ground? I was just curious, my Uro likes to climb but is not very handy at it, so he usually falls off the branch. The habitat looks zoo quality though (in a good way). Way to go!

Thanks, I had fun decorating it and I always seem to want to be changing stuff around. I refrain though so I won't freak the little guy out. I will probably take a few things out when he gets older and calmer so he has a bit more floor space. First thing to go will be the digging tub in a couple of months if he does not at least scratch at it once
With regards to your question on climbing, yes he climbs everything... including the perfectly vertical walls. The grout seems to give just enough purchase for his little claws to dig in.
You are correct that they don't seem to be the most agile climbers in the world. When he was climbing on the very top platform he managed to make it up to the screen top and managed to hook his front feet to it then promptly did a back flip to the cork bark on the floor (not very gracefully). I since added the vine along the top platform as sort of a safety rail. He now will head straight off the top platform wrap his tail around the vine and lower himeself to the next platform. All in all he does seem to be getting better at navigating around and I have even seen him make a few small jumps from platform to platform and once from a platform right on to a vertical wall section.
I am trying to get some pictures of him climbing but so far I have just got a few new ones of him lounging around the warm hides.

yeah...I've pretty much decided to steal your cage idea
I know others have done that style cage before, but yours was the first that REALLY appealled to me. I think that's because most of the times that people build those setups, they don't put anything else in except substrate because the basking platforms are built in. Loading it up with cork bark and other fun things seems like a great idea that I will have to adopt (I'll probably just buy all the cork bark I can and see what works best...as well as grapevine and TONS of random rocks). I see you have sort of a slate flooring? How well does that work for your little guy/girl? I think for my uro I'll stick to having dirt as the full substrate (about 2-3" with more on the back corners where her main hides will be... I love the idea of a full burrowing setup, but that doesn't really work for me right now so I came up with a system involving an extra long hide full of dirt...maybe you should try that for your uro?). I thought it might be a cool idea for my bearded dragon though. If I don't do that, I want to experiment with dirt and sand and rocks (larger than his head) to try to make a substrate that sort of mocks his natural environment. I'd want to try to sift the dirt though because he's notorious for trying to eat everything (rocks).
All in all, great setup. I'm trying to figure out how I want to do the platforms for my lizards though, because my bearded dragon likes to jump from high places, and my mali uro is very fat and has a tendancy towards flipping over off tall stuff and not being able to get right side up easily. She does love climbing though, so I'm sure I'll figure something out for her. Maybe I can finally get her to lose some weight.

Feel free as I stole it from someone else
>> I see you have sort of a slate flooring? How well does that work for your little guy/girl?
I like and he/she(too young to tell) likes it. It seems to work with the cluttered floor of cork and grape vine. If I had a more open floor plan I would probably go with a more traditional substrate.
>> I think for my uro I'll stick to having dirt as the full substrate (about 2-3" with more on the back corners where her main hides will be... I
You have a Mali right? From all I have read the ornates and saharans are the climbers and the others are the burrowers.
>> love the idea of a full burrowing setup, but that doesn't really work for me right now so I came up with a system involving an extra long hide full of dirt...maybe you should try that for your uro?).
That might work if my saharan never digs his own burrow. If I get rid of the dirt tub I do want to put in some sort of humid hide area. I still searching for ideas on that. If nothing else comes to mind I will end up doing the traditional plastic tub half full of substrate and a plastic pipe leading into it.
