I have found two DOR indigos on Cape Canaveral Air force Base this week. I think car mortalities is the # 1 killer out here.
The first one found Tuesday was approx 6ft. The second found Wednesday was approx 3 ft. Both were beautiful.

That first photo is the 3ft ventral here's the dorsal

Here's a side view

What a shame. They look like they were beautiful animals.
I'm impressed with the relative size of the head. Is this just an artifact of the photo of the dead animal? Or are the heads larger in nature than in captivity?

A friend of mine found a large 6-7ft DOR several years ago while on vacation.
Once in a lifetime is bad enough but, twice in a week really sucks! Which one is that a pic of?
Eric
This lower group is the 3ft one he was a little prettier than the big one.
Yeah, I figured that out. I posted that message immediately after you posted the first pic. Had I waited, I could've answered my own question.
BTW, did you report these dor's?
Eric
My summer job was working with yhe environmental dept at the Air Force Base. It's over now back to work teaching on Aug. 3.
