i was scanning through the KS site and on their forums main page, there is a small section off to the right hand side titled "In the news...". what caught my attention the title blurb says " Giant snake eats entire Fa..."

the full title is of the article is:
Giant Snake Crawls Up Dryer Vent, Eats Entire Family
Even the at the bottom at the article they state the story is fictious. Thats all fine and dandy.. but it does [bleep] to help our cause and defuse the general consensus among misinformed ppl that all snakes are bad and pose a danger. We are perpetuating a stereo type and inciting fear and and ppl will get the wrong idea when viewing this story. Kingsnake having this article (particularly) in the news section (while its not real news) is particulary disturbing and i am surprised that kingsnake would even post something like that period.. For all the hard work that all of us do in educating the public about snakes,KS just did us a major disservice. For all that we have done in the past 2 years, an article like this sets us back three years.. particularly when its linked to a Pro-reptile site. Please complain to KS and tell them to take down the link to this story.
