what are the contributing factors to uri. is there a combination of temp/ humidity that will make them prone to it. is moist substrate a cause. i practice good hygene with my animals . cages are cleaned regularly. i have noticed that in my racks i get alot of water drolets form on the roof of the cage slots. does that mean i need to drill a few vent holes in each rubermaid. any info would be appreciated.

You want high humidity levels without a damp substrate. I would drill more holes. It's okay to have a damp substrate for a day or two, but if it has no dry time inbetween your asking for trouble (bacteria) if the air exchange in the cage is not adequate.

sustained sub-optimum temps especially with wet surroundings leading to further evaporative cooling. In addition to a degree of increased ventilation open the cage and wipe away condensation as needed. Make sure you're providing a hot spot of about MID 90F (ie 95F) preferably by undercage heating pad or flexwatt.
