okay, i got a pair of chinese water dragon{not sure if you know what it is(theyre pretty common), as i assume most of you are snake people???} anyways mine adore rodents especially my female. now ive tried my hand at breeding mice in the past with maybe 2 or 3 litters actually making it to the freezer, the rest of the litters were all canaballized (sp?). i tried many diets all high protein nothing worked.

1st off is a new born rat appx. the same size as a mouse fuzzie?

i want to start back up now and i was thinking "why not try and breed rats? as soon as theyre born theyre the same size as a mouse fuzzie (i would assume) so this doesnt give the parents a chance to eat their young.

Also sometime this summer i would like to purchase a black throat monitor so what would you guys suggest ???? mice or rats???

the male is 26 1/2 inches long and he weighs i believe now somewhere in between 275-300 grams (hes quite the fattie) the female is 23 inches long and weighs about 160-180 grams or so. i gotta get some more weight on her she just laid her third batch of eggs the other day so she stopped eating about a week and a half before laying so now shes eating like a pig
