I caught this guy in the Mountains of Northern California.
I have looked online at frogs from the area and none really match this guy. Anyone know what this neat looking frog is??

I am really not knowledgable on herps from CA (since I live in NY) but that is definately a toad of some kind. Maybe either a California toad, or an American? Or possibly a Fowler's, though I do not know for sure if they're found in California. I would let him go, since the toad populations in many areas are threatened by man to begin with.
