If you ever looked for snakes in Southern Delaware you probably stopped at "Shirleys" on Rt. 13 North in Seaford vicinity. I hadn't been by for a few years, but sadly saw yesterday that the metal building, tin, and nearby acres have been developed. Bye! Despite forecast for rain it was good weather for herps - the sun was shining. Later I found a new spot for me with lots of tin. Within 50 ft. of one another were two adult Eastern hognose, male and female. Also a large racer and two juvenile box turtles. Not too far away was shed skin of a black rat. Even though water was nearby, hoped for Eastern kings didn't appear. The only thing I took with me was the ticks.
