I want to thank everone who have given me all of your support for the past 3+ years on this forum.
Without your help and advice this would not have been possible.
At the end of day # 53 I decided to cut the eggs. My main concern was the 2 eggs on top of the clutch. These eggs were more then 50% dented in. They were not in contact with the incubation medium and were very dry.
A special BIG thank you to Corey Woods, who gave me the much needed support on the telephone last night.
These eggs were the result from a 100% HET albino female purchased directly from Bob Clark in 2001 bred to a 2002 Graziani male albino.
This same female was bred 2 more times aprox 1-month after the first breedings. But this time she was bred to a 2001 Barker HET albino male.
Don't ask me why I did this. I am kinda sorry I did now, but still what matters is that I have LIVE babies.
The top two severely dented eggs were the easiest to cut. I pinched the shell and made the small cut. No liquid came out and the eggs were pretty dry inside. I put just a small drop of warm water in each egg to give them a little more fluid.
No albinos in the first two, but there alive and moving! I still have 4 more eggs at this point.
Cutting the next 4 eggs made me more nervous then the first two. These eggs felt like little water ballons. I mean they felt like someone had pumped them up with air.
There was no way I could pinch them to make the cut so gently I made a little hole with the tip of the nail scissors.
Clear liquid shot out of the egg. It came bursting out of the egg. I continued to make the little cut, no blood just lots of clear liquid.
This 3rd egg still no albino, but the baby was alive!
I continued on with the remaining 3 eggs. Again having to poke them to start the cut.
The 4th egg still no albino, but still nice the baby was alive.
Two eggs left, Really hoping for an albino now. I decided to pick the smaller egg of the 2 left and save the biggest one for last.
The 5th egg still no albino, but still another live and moving baby.
Now onto the biggest last egg. Really hoping now that this will be an albino.
Make the cut, and I know right away that it is NOT an albino, because the inside of the egg is to dark, plus I see the black pigment of the snake right away.
But the snake is alive, and very big!
Six eggs, and so far 6 babies all alive.
I only wish I knew if they were 66% HET from the HET father or if there 100% HETS from the albino father.
I cannot say that I am disapointed. I feel a little disapointed that I did not get atleast 1 albino.
But then I slap myself and say, be happy! How would you like if you had NO babies, then you could be VERY disapointed.
I still can't help but smile when I see one of the babies looking out of the egg. The mother is a really nice colored HET albino girl, with a very bright good contrasting pattern.
Can't wait to see them out of the eggs. They may be 100% HETS they may be 66% HETS. I plan to keep ANY females I may have.
Hopefully 3+ years from now I will find out if they are HETS.
Will keep you updated..
PS this photo was taken this afternoon, they did not poke out of the eggs last night when I cut them.

. Congrats Damon.
