Alittle blur but very cute, Gorgo my female MHD enjoying a chat, with Chinook a female collared lizard, LOL while out for a run!

*sigh* drake has parasites. 2 different ones to be exact. it doesn't surprise me...i thought he did. so now he is on panacur and metronidazole. ugh! i hate giving meds....but i love my kids.

he'll be better in no time. hey eve, gimmee some pointers on how to fatten drake up...he's so thin. he is about 13 inches snout to tail and weighs 56 grams (weighed today at the vet). he's such a skinny minny.

While the dragon is being treated for parasites he will be skinny. Just imagine how horrible he must feel It is also possible that he is dehydrated. You can try giving a little pediolyte. If he isn't eating you may want to hand feed. I always did this while giving the meds so as not to stress him more than neccesary. I used strained lamb baby food with a bit of banana (the potassium helps with dehydration) and a pinch of powdered vitamins and then thined it with pedeolyte to a consistancy that could be easily sucked up with a syringe (no needle) or eyedropper. A couple of droppers full a day and maybe pediolyte twice a day until he starts picking up some weight and color and is eating well on his own.

If he is feeding well on his own I would just give the pediolyte while giving meds. It can really turn them around. Once they are well, they will just naturally fatten up. They are real pigs and feed great when healthy.

is the one with alot of knowledge and experience with these guys, helped me out in the begining with questions about Gorgo, I just to think she was gravid, but turned out shes just a fatty, ansd loves to eat, especially nightcrawlers ! He will fatten up in no time, marcia said it right with all retiles, parisites can do a number, they can leave them thin, with no appetite, very lethargic, really not good ! trying to rush, to get dog out he was barking, also the EMMMMMMM was supposed to come after the nightcrawlers, not at the end, don't know how that happened but it sounded real stupid LOL Later, Eve

the time my grand-daughter, 4-yr-old at the time, was watching me take care of my dragons. As I pulled a nice fat nightcrawler out of the tub she said "Yuckie" and as the dragon slurped it down she said "Yumm, Yumm". It seemed so funny cuz it was just seconds apart so what was heard was "Yuckie, Yumm, Yumm!"

Kids and animals are great, especially when you put the two together!

Yukey yumm yum, heheheh, so true kids are very cool just like critters, they are still so innocent and say what they feel before we teach them what they SHOULD say !! Nothing like watching your kids or grand kids aor any kid for that matter interacting with animals, LOL Eve
