I took a fecal sample to the vet today from my Male Southern Pine. It showed up positive for Giardia. I was wondering how a Caprive Born snake gets Giardia. Could it be from feeder mice. When i first got him he was only eating live and I slowly switched him to F/T. Is it possible that it could have got it from bad water, I was wondering becouse the water lines around here break all the time and i never bothered boiling the water before using it for the snakes. I would appreciate any help that anyone might be able to give me. Also how easy is Giardia to transmit from one snake to another. He was in a seperate room from the rest of my snakes. Should i be worried that they have Giardia also. I took him in for a fecal becouse i noticed green urate. Is this a sign of Giardia?

Also i found adult pinworms in the fecies. I was wondering if these could be rodent pinworms. I fed him a frozen rat. One that i got live from who breeds rats. I killed it and put it in the freezer. Its been there two or three months is there anyway that they could be from the rat
