Here in Georgia we have something called a Dollar General. They carry a banded group of three(3) sterilite containers with lids. 16qt. serial number 73149 16460. L 15.5" W10.5" H6.75". I also use the small concrete mixing pans from home depot.$4.98 ea. The set of three from dollar general is 3 for $5.00. I currently have three sets of shelves with 16 units each. i started out with 1.5 ratio in the homedepot containers. I have a shelf set with 1.4 ratio. and the final one is set up 1.3 ratio. First number is the male-only one to a harem! The second number denotes females. I have had my best results with the 1.3 ratio. They have out done the other set ups by a very good distance. It has taken me a couple of years to reach these conclusions. I have since invested in more containers to bring all of them to 1.3. Each set up has almost the same ratio of harland albino, johnson labs and off the shelf pet shop whites. Dark websters and the mix of colors and patterns my two daughters have assembled. Jessicas two in the bedroom have out bred all the rest to date. I guess TLC goes a long way.
