>>sorry i have not replied sooner my computer is dead im at my brothers right now. anyway. i too thought that this vet was loony. he showed me this outdated book he had. i mean this thing was falling apart. and it said they ate pinkys. i have to bring him back the 4th. i dont think there is any other reptile vets around me but i am going to look. he diddnt even tell me what meds he gave him. i had to leave him their at 10:30 and i picked him up at 5:00 i did not like this at all. when i got poor spike back he was freezing cold. and the reptile vet was gone so i could not ask any questions. im not chanding his diet. i just want to get rid of his worms. im going to tke him to his next 2 treetments and then find a new vet. thanks for confirming the fact that this guy has no idea what he is talking about.

Don't forget this is your pet, and you and not the vet is in charge of the health care of him/her (in other words don't be afraid to question the vet when you think they are doing the wrong thing) This can be tough with some vets as they don't want to listen to your concerns, but the best of them do and they understand you are paying for the services and want the best care for your pets.
Here are a few links I use to help me understand what medications are being given and the dosages. Of course this kind of information is no substitute for a good vet but at least it helps in letting you know what certain meds are used for and the dosage ranges used.
