The pet store around me only have "fancy rats" for sale. If I use them as breeders and their babies as feeders, would my bp's get sick. I dont know if their are chemicals in fancy rats or not.

as far as I know they are about the same, I think sometimes they pick out ones with nice patterns on them. But I really have no idea what makes them fancy, I do think you should be fine.
