A few questions about hatchling northern pines

spottedturtleman Jul 24, 2004 05:41 AM

Can I keep a pair in the same 4'x3' enclosure? How long will it take for them to reach adulthood? I was planning on keeping them at about 85 degrees with a basking spot at 90 degrees, is this too warm? I wanted to use a substrate other than news paper , any suggestions? Any help is appriciated
Tom

Too hot! 80 degrees is good, they live in cooler climate. I keep mine on aspen, that seems to be prefered by the keepers and breeders on this site. They will grow fast and its best to separate them as soon as possible.

Thanks for the info. How hot should the basking area be?
Thanks again,
Tom

Not sure. I would put mine at 80. Mine just stay at room temp here, 80 during the day and 70 at night. I havent had them too long though, based on info I got that should be good for them.
