There are a few good books available on Kingsnakes. The three I own are: 1)Common Kingsnakes:the general care and maintenance By: David Perlowin Any decent petstore has this one in stock right now. 2)California Kingsnakes: keeping and breeding them in captivity.By: Ray Hunziker. Its an older T.F.H.
book that is still somewhat available. Maybe old stock at pet stores. 3) Kingsnakes and Milk Snakes. By Ronald G. Karkel. This is considered the "bible" to these snakes. Its an older (1990) big, hardbound, glossy book but a must have for any Kingsnake keeper. Also try used book stores, you will be suprised what you can find at them. I have bought many classic herpetology books at them for less than five dollars.Kinsnake has a Literature for sale section also. Hope this helps
