Blue Eyed Ghost Cubed Corn Photo and more......

Hoppy Jul 24, 2004 03:13 PM

Well I have had 60 eggs hatch so far from 3 clutches and here is my group so far....

13 Normal Striped or Cubed Corns
3 Striped Snows
2 Motley Snow
2 Normal Snows
5 Normal Hypos
6 Normal Multi Hets
2 Striped Hypos
2 Striped Amels
1 Amel Motley
1 Normal Amel
5 Striped Anery
3 Blue Eyed Ghosts
6 Anery
5 Normal Ghosts
2 Normal Zigzags
1 Anery Zigzag
1 Blued Eyed Cubed Ghost
1 Odd ball that I still don't know what it is (strang pattern)
Here is the picture of the Cubed Blue Eyed Ghost. He has not shed yet but should soon, his stripe is an almost pastel yelloe color right now, very cool looking snake! Oh in case you have done the math you will see that it is 60 eggs but 61 babies, yes there was a set of twins and they are doing fine!

Actually it is not a snow, it is from a Ghost Corn line. I have been breeding these guys for a few years and each season it seems that I able to breed just a bit more color out of them. They are very pale blue eyed Ghost corns, that have beautiful pastel colors to them. They are not from any of the Pastel or opal lines, but they are really cool looking. I have two Striped ones from last season that I also kept.
Thanks

Do you know anything about the background. The snake looked great. I couldn't see the blue eyes though. Do you have any more pics of the eyes up close? This year I hatched out one ghost motley/stripe(• striped) I thought was cool as heck till I saw yours.

I think it was 1996, when ever the last time the Expo was held in Orlando instead of Daytona, here is the quick background on these guys:
I bought the great grandparents to him back then. It was a Normal Colored Striped Corn (then fairly new still) and a Zigzag Snow Corn. I bought each snake for $20.00 from to different guys (Sunday afternoon last day of the Expo!).
I had no idea that they were het for anything, my main goal was to produce a Striped Snow Corn. Well after the first breeding and the eggs hatched, I knew something was weird. I had in the one clutch Ghost Corns, Anery, Hypos and all with some Zigzag and Motley patterns. Well after breeding the parents back to the kids and and keeping some of the coolest and lightest offspring, I produced the first Blue Eyed Ghost corn 4 years ago. The saddles looked almost see through and the iris of the eye was blue. Since then I have produced them in Striped, Zigzag and Motley as well as normal and the line gets lighter and more pastel each year.
I have a couple of really cool Striped ones that I kept from last season
thanks again
